Our Sister Diocese in Kenya
Sauk Centre parishes have been in partnership with their sister diocese in Migori, Kenya, Africa officially since 2007. We frequently have delegations of parishioners traveling back and forth from Sauk Centre to Migori and coming up this April, from Migori to Sauk Centre. These exchanges are life changing.
Migori Partnership Team
This committee is currently doing a book study on Pope Francis’ encyclical “Fratelli Tutti.” We are broadening our scope beyond just Migori to encompass all mission and how we share that in our parish. We are meeting the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 5:30 pm-7 pm with soup/bread and book study. We will continue to oversee our sister parish relationship with St. Joseph’s in Migori, Kenya. Which includes our Orphan project, which began in 2009, where we have been working to provide food, education and some shelter and health care needs for about 78 orphans currently.
In November we will have our Back To School Blessing Tree at St. Paul’s and Our Lady of the Angels if you want help support our orphans financially. Thank you!
